Nokia N82?

The N82 could be a winning device at a winning price! - hope it materializes!

The N82 comes equipped with a quad-band GSM, 2100 HSDPA, built in GPS, TV-out, and FM radio. Throw in Bluetooth compatibility and we have ourselves a cell phone that most companies would be proud of. But the N82 is not finished yet. The most astonishing aspect of this master piece is the camera. A 5 mega pixel Carl Zeiss lens, 20 x digital zoom, and 30 fps of video recording only serve to increase the hype Nokia is causing. Weighing in at a meager 120g and sporting a 240x320 resolution screen with 16 million colors, the N82 can be summed up as a combination of N95 features and N73 size. Truly the best of both worlds, the N82 will be available sometime during Q4 of 2007.

Some great stuff being done with PDAs at Wolverhampton - Windows Mobile Based :-( but it certainly meets their needs - may be useful approach for tertiary areas such as UATI - synchronizing smartboards with PDAs!

The staff of a regional community college have faced a steep learning curve in developing a revolutionary e-learning platform as part of a pilot study into the delivery of a course on sustainable house design. Young filmmakers are participating in a revolutionary film festival and information experiment where the movies they've produced can be viewed or downloaded from Melbourne's innovative digital information stands - iHubs.

The ECAR Study of Undergraduate Students and Information Technology, 2007

"The study, which reports noticeable changes from previous years, is based on quantitative data from a spring 2007 survey and interviews with 27,846 freshman, senior, and community college students at 103 higher education institutions. It focuses on what kinds of information technologies these students use, own, and experience; their technology behaviors, preferences, and skills; how IT impacts their experiences in their courses; and their perceptions of the role of IT in the academic experience."
